The countdown for Disney live-action The Lion King movie has begun. The highly anticipated film releases in cinemas on Friday, 19 July. We have seen trailers , posters , and even a clip from one of the musical performances . Disney has released new stunning pictures of the voice cast alongside their characters.

The studio also released a a new featurette, The Lion King Returns , about the movie with never-before-seen footage from the film, a glimpse behind the scenes during recording sessions, and comments from director Jon Favreau and members of the voice cast.
